Description
A bridge to nowhere Nr.2
The Chicago and North Western Railway's Kinzie Street railroad bridge has been disused since 2000 when the Chicago Sun-Times moved. It is a single leaf bascule bridge across the Chicago River. When it opened it was the longest and heaviest bascule bridge in the world. It was left in the up position pointing up to the sky as if waiting for an intervention.
